Amazing! Where do you film these landings and take offs and what area do you recommend watching?

I have 600,000 hours in the T-6A. I may actually be able to retire before I graduate from UPT.

Wonderful video, well done! I love the Boeing 717. I've been a DC-9 fan since my first flight with Eastern Airlines in August, 1968 between STL and EVV. I have flown thousands of miles on these planes with DL, EA, AL, OZ, NC, RC, NW, KL, LM, and AC. I never tire of them, I miss the DC-9s so much. I'm so glad that the 717 carries on the historical tradition of the DC-9 family. They are so similar. I am on a DL 717 from ATL to CAE in two weeks, can't wait!

Sweet!! Awesome landing, I live 3 mins away from that Airport in Simbury CT.. I was never luck to see a plane take off or land..😢 hopefully one day I will. I'll be sure to pull over and watch.. I'm always fascinated about small planes and Airport.. I love SIMSBURY such a beautiful and Charming CT Town..

I will admit the FIRST time I flew as a kid when I heard the engines spool back to climb thrust from takeoff thrust I thought the engine was malfunctioning and freaked out 😂

Oh yeah….thats good stuff right there. Delta flies a lot of those out of Billings Montana(where I live) so you don’t see any large jets but whoever was the pilot that day I went to salt lake wasted literally NO time getting to takeoff speed and we were off pretty quick. I was also right on the bulkhead because I’m so tall so I was right next to the engine and got to hear some gnarly engine sounds as well.

I love the sheer amount of old 777s that fly here! Just looking at how huge they are compared to the A320s, 737s, and even 757s is funny to me.

Thanks for the Vid. I flew to Baltimore and back one morning for a test flight because i hadn't flown before on a a jet. I was window on the way but traded seats with the Avelo employee who flew with me round trip to make sure it went okay so I had an aisle seat back and only saw part of what your vid shows

I had a similar experience in March on a night flight home to DTW. It was the most gradual takeoff I have ever experienced. I sat in a similar location to the one in this video.
